    Job Description
    Responsible for researching, drafting, and publishing accurate, high-quality news reports and special stories for digital media in a deadline-driven environment. Actively pitches exclusive story ideas in daily editorial meetings, tracks and curates relevant news links, and formats submissions with appropriate visuals and captions. Adapts stories based on direction from the team lead and delivers rapid, well-researched scripts during breaking news and high-priority events.   

     Essential Job Functions:
    • List a minimum of five relevant news links in the news pool without duplication
    • In case a relevant link comes to their attention (outside of their shift time), share the links in the department’s WhatsApp group. 
    • Submit exclusive new story ideas in the Editorial meeting every day. 
    • Prepare a minimum of six news items for the digital media every day. It should be comprehensive, with no space for doubts. 
    • Prepare the news stories from the angle directed by the shift lead; make sure to do the relevant research and adhere to the deadline. Rewrite the story if so directed.  
    • In the submitted news file, ensure factual and language accuracy. Make sure that the news file contains suitable photos and captions. 
    • In case of emergencies including papal visits, submit special story scripts for Editorial meetings–create the scripts according to the instructions from the shift leads.
