Shalom World Named Television Station of the Year

The Catholic Press Association (CPA) named Shalom World, ‘Television Station of the Year’, awarding it a First Place 2020 Gabriel Award. The annual awards celebrate outstanding media in English and Spanish-language television, film, radio, social media and web-based TV, from across the U.S. and Canada.

 

Shalom World also received First Place for the category of ‘Religious Places – Videos Promoting Attendance’, for its program, The Journal- Martyr’s Shrine, filmed in Ontario, Canada; an Honorable Mention for ‘Best Television Website’ shalomworld.org; and an Honorable Mention for ‘Best Children’s Program Episode’, for Little Douglings Episode 2, Episode 3 and Episode 4.

 

The complete list of 2020 Gabriel Awards includes frontline media entities such as EWTN, The Catholic TV Network, National Public Radio and Voice of America. The 109-year-old CPA connects Catholic communicators worldwide, with 225 publication members and 600 individual members, reaching more than 26 million people. The board and management Shalom Media, express heartfelt gratitude to the CPA, and to Shalom World benefactors, Shalom Peace Fellowship (SPF) members, program resources/ guests, intercessors, volunteers, and worldwide viewers, all crucial to the network’s success.
